Boise's newest sports team off to good start
BOISE - The Idaho Junior Steelheads, Idaho's newest sports team, is off to a good start; currently second place in their division.

The Junior Steelheads compete as a 'junior-A' level hockey club - a level for teenaged players to gain attention and possibly earn a college scholarship. The team is part of the Western States Hockey League.

Thus far, the Jr. Steelies are 6-1-0-2, six wins, one loss, no ties and two overtime losses. All that adds up to 14 points in the WSHL's Western Division standings.

The Jr. Steelies are on the road for over a month, before returning to Boise for a game on November 11. Regular-season games are played at Idaho Ice World in east Boise.
