Idaho can't overcome fast Bulldog start, Vandals fall 31-21
Fresno State tailback Ryan Mathews rushed for 144 yards and three scores, as Fresno State beat Idaho 31-21 Saturday night inside Moscow's Kibbie Dome.

Vandal quarterback Nate Enderle sat out the game with a rotator cuff injury sustained against Louisiana Tech last week. Enderle's backup Brian Reader had a tough first half, completing just two passes.

Reader rebounded after the break, finishing with 12-25 passes completed for 239 yards and two touchdowns.

Most of that came on a 69-yard touchdown pass to Maurice Shaw with 25 seconds to go in the game.
