BOISE - Newcomer Reggie Arnold and Senior Kurt Cunningham both poured in 17 points, and Ike Okoye added 13 points and eleven rebounds to power Boise State to a win in its 2009 home opener, 79-73 over North Texas University.
North Texas' Josh White led all scorers with 23 points, but the Mean Green shot only 50 percent from the free throw line - one of five in the second half.
The Broncos had four players in double-figures scoring, with Paul Noonan joining Arnold, Cunningham and Okoye.
Anthony Thomas ended his two-game scoreless skid with eight points. Boise State also shot well from three-point range, making seven of eleven shots.
The Broncos hit the road for Big Ten power Illinois Saturday, December 5, then return to Idaho to face Idaho State in Pocatello.
