Boise State picked No. 1 by almost all
SALT LAKE CITY - Boise State is picked as preseason favorite in the WAC media and coaches polls. But not unanimously.

In the Coaches poll the Broncos received 8 of 9 first place votes, Chris Petersen was not allowed to vote for his own team and picked Nevada as his first place team.

In the media poll New Mexico State radio broadcaster Jack Nixon was the only media member to not vote Boise State to the top spot. According to the WAC Nixon picked Nevada giving the Broncos 42 of 43 first place votes.

Idaho was picked 6th by the coaches, and 4th by media members.

Kellen Moore was named the preseason offensive player of the year, Nevada defensive end Dontay Moch was named the defensive player of the year.
