Bronco swimming & diving preps for home finale
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise State's swimming and diving team is the defending Mountain West Conference Champion, but with only two home meets this season it's a title defense done under the radar ... at least locally.

Saturday, the Broncos host their second, and final home meet of the season. It's an important conference match-up against the Wyoming Cowgirls.

Boise State's team returned 18 athletes from last year's championship squad and has several big wins already this season, including their first and only other home meet against BYU. The team set four pool records during that clash with the Cougars. Could this Saturday rewrite even more record books?

"They have been training at a really high level this last two weeks, so it will be challenging to break pool records this week, but i wasn't expecting them to break pool records when we played BYU back in December and they did. This team continues to surprise the coaching staff and i don't expect this weekend to be any different," said head swimming and diving coach kristin hill.

The team honors their five seniors Saturday, and Bronco football players will also be there. It's their annual Big Splash Belly-Flop Contest.

The meet starts at 11am (MTN) at the West YMCA off Chinden and Cloverdale.
