BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Anthony Drmic went off Friday night against LSU and apparently the 11,210 fans at Taco Bell Arena weren't the only people to notice.

The Mountain West Conference thinks his 34 point effort, that helped beat a formerly undefeated SEC team, was good enough to earn their weekly award.

Drmic dazzled from beyond the arc, dropping six of ten, adding another six buckets from the field, en route to a career-high 34 points. Following the game head coach Leon Rice piled on his own praise.

"When he just has that competitive look in his eyes, that's what does it, he's a competitor. And he competes as a shooter, eh competes on the boards. And that's probably his best attribute, and that's why he makes those shots, because he's so competitive," said Rice.

Drmic and the Broncos are back on the court Thursday night, when they meet up with instate rival Idaho. "The Battle in Boise" goes down at CenturyLink Arena at 7 pm (MTN).
