Seniors say goodbye to the Blue
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - It's time to say goodbye to the Blue for 23 Boise State seniors. Some are role players, others entrenched starters, but no matter where they find themselves on that sliding scale, your last home game is pretty special.

Just like it did for that record-breaking senior class from a season ago, senior day brings out emotions. That sort of thing's bound to happen when this class begins looking back on Blue.

"I don't know, it'll be weird. I never really thought about it too much until Coach Pete was talking about it last week, and I was just sitting there kind of like ... you know, it's gonna be weird, probably a little rough, really emotional. We'll get to run out there, the families will be out there, so that'll be nice, but yeah, I'll figure it out as I go, I guess," said senior defensive tackle Darren Koontz.

"Just really proud of these guys for grinding through, and making progress in their lives as people, and students, and playing pretty good football along the way," said head coach Chris Petersen.

The senior class takes the Blue for the final time Saturday, when Boise State hosts Colorado State.

Kickoff time is 1:30 pm (MTN) but you'll want catch our Chili's Game Day coverage starting at 12:30 pm (MTN) right here on KBOI 2.
