COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2014 Mountain West football schedule was released by the league office, Thursday. Dates have tentatively been set for each of the Broncos’ eight league games, though telecast and kick times are still being finalized and will be announced at a later date.

The league office will work with CBS Sports Network and ESPN in the next phase of the scheduling process, which could move particular games to Thursdays and Fridays. This will be followed by the selection of games by ROOT SPORTS and the MW Network powered by Campus Insiders.

For the second-straight year, Boise State will play each of its five Mountain Division opponents, and Fresno State, Nevada and San Diego State of the West Division. This is the second year of the initial MW scheduling cycle, in which each member institution will play every other Mountain West opponent home and away.

The Broncos are slated to both open and close the 2014 conference schedule in the friendly confines of Bronco Stadium. The opening league game of the season is scheduled for Sept. 6, against Colorado State. The Broncos’ regular-season finale is scheduled for Nov. 29, against Utah State.

Other home games include match-ups against Fresno State (Oct. 18) and San Diego State (Nov. 15).

Boise State’s first conference road game is scheduled for Sept. 27, at Air Force. Other league road contests include trips to Nevada (Oct. 3), New Mexico (Nov. 8) and Wyoming (Nov. 22).

The Broncos have two byes during the 2014 season, scheduled for the week of Oct. 11, and the week of Nov. 1.

The conference schedule will conclude with the MW Football Championship Game Dec. 6, which will be played at the home stadium of the highest-ranked divisional champion.
