BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Bronco men's basketball team hits the road for what is expected to be a tough game at San Diego State on Wednesday.

You see, the Aztecs are pretty darn good at home. They've lost just one game at Viejas Arena, and it was against the ranked Runnin' Rebels of UNLV.

Broncos head coach Leon Rice says teams can't expect to go into San Diego and ignore the atmosphere. He plans to take the opposite approach against the Aztecs.

"You know, you've just gotta embrace that environment, and know that it's one of the best in college basketball now. Which is amazing, because when Coach Fisher took it over it wasn't at all that. And they've built their program. And it's another, like I said, there are a lot of great models in the league for us, and that's one of them.
His first year, I think they might not have won a conference game, and so they've built it up, and built it up, just consistently gotten better, and now it is where it is, but it didn't happen overnight," said Rice.

The Aztecs dropped out of the Associated Press Poll this week, but they're still ranked in the USA Today Poll (25). So Boise State has a chance pick up their third road win against a ranked opponent this season.

Tip time in San Diego is 9 pm (MTN). You can watch the game live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
