BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Saturday night UNLV sunk a desperation three at the buzzer only to have it called off once officials took another look at it. The ensuring celebration by Coach Rice rubbed some Rebels the wrong way, so he took the time to explain himself Monday morning.

"We had lost the game. I mean they had made the shot. We'd lost the game, and then all of the sudden new life ... we won the game. And then I was able to let our fans know that we won the game. Otherwise they would have walked out of here like, 'What just happend?'

"I didn't mean any disrespect to UNLV or Dave. You know, he knows that. I was just overjoyed that we won, and I think he would have felt the same way. They did feel the same way, they pig-piled on our floor, and good for them. They hit the shot, it was a great play. It's college basketball, that's what makes it so great," said Rice.

Even better when you win the game. Broncos hope to make it four-straight victories with a win on Wednesday night in Fresno. Tip time is just after 7 pm (MT) and you can watch it all on CBS Sports Network.
