IRVINE, Calif. – Katie Cotta tossed her second-straight no-hitter, striking out 10, as top-ranked Concordia University advanced to the Final Site of the NAIA Softball National Championships with a 9-0 victory over The College of Idaho at Eagle Field.

The right-hander allowed a third inning walk to Briana Brace – the only base runner in the five inning game.

Annette Merjado hit a solo homer in the second inning to give the Eagles (48-3) the early lead – using a six-run fifth inning to break the game open.

Nickayla Skinner took the loss, as the Coyotes (36-23) season comes to a close in a tie for 11th in the nation. Skinner finished the year with a school record 25 wins, 11 shutouts, and 247 strikeouts.
