BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Boise State men's basketball team returned as conquering heros Thursday afternoon. The Broncos beat the #11 Creighton Blue Jays in Omaha Wednesday night, and there were more than a few fans awaiting BSU's arrival at the Boise Airport.

Some say their 83-70 victory over Creighton might be the biggest win in Boise State basketball history. The team was just trying to remember the last time fans met them at the airport.

"Nah, this is the first time, so it's fun. You know, I like it," said sophomore guard Derrick Marks.

"Well that was great, that was neat for our guys. To have the Corral Club come out, it was a surprise, we didn't know it was happening. It was a great turnout, so I think that makes these guys feel pretty good," added head coach Leon Rice.

Coach Rice then asked the fans if they'd be joining the team at KeyArena this weekend, when the Broncos battle Seattle U.

Their unanswered reply, "Are you paying?"

Tip time for that game is 3 pm (MTN) on Sunday.
