Ukwuachu dismissed, Laughrea leaves BSU football program
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A pair of redshirt sophomores have left the Boise State football team. The Broncos announce the dismissal of Sam Ukwuachu for an unspecified team rules violation. Backup quarterback Jimmy Laughrea decided to leave the program of his own accord.

Ukwuachu played in all 13 games for the Broncos as a freshman, starting 12 of them, and earning 2012 FWAA Freshman All-America honors in the process. He made seven tackles for loss, picked up four and a half sacks, and recovered three fumbles (tied for the team lead).

Ukwuachu did not take part in the Blue and Orange game because of what head coach Chris Petersen described as personal issues.

Laughrea will end his Bronco career before he even got a chance to attempt a pass during a Boise State football game.

According to Scout.com, eight of the 19 members in Boise State's 2011 recruiting class have left the program early.
