MLB scouts salivate over Sneed at NNU opener
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - While fans of NNU Baseball enjoyed an almost balmy day for their team's opener, Northwest Nazarene starting pitcher Zeb Sneed was busy showing off in front of the dozen or so MLB scouts.
All watching the Twin Falls, Idaho native who wasn't a prospect coming out of high school, but that has clearly changed.
Sneed mowed down Minot State Friday, striking out 11, walking four, but pitching 6 innings of no-hit baseball.
Sneed said he's talked to around ten different scouts - most in town Friday - and they're all pretty impressed.
"It's definitely pretty cool to see them standing back there, but I got a job to do an that's to pitch, and I tune them out pretty easy. Just go out and show what I got and go, get a head, and win for my team, get us in the ebst possible place we can be in the conference," said Sneed.
NNU was picked to finish second in the preseason Great Northwest Conference poll.
