McClellin impressive at Bears Minicamp

LAKE FOREST, Illinois (KBOI) - Shea McClellin impressed a lot of people at the NFL Combine, and a few more at Boise State's Pro Day, but no team more than the Bears. Chicago made the Marsing native their 1st round pick at number 19 overall.

McClellin, who's known for being a hard-worker and a pretty fast guy, has done nothing to give the Bears buyer's remorse. In fact, with mini-camp winding down, his defensive coordinator and assistant head coach Rod Marinelli couldn't say enough good things about the former Boise State Bronco.

"He can move well. He's got really good movement. He's got really good speed. He's got nice range. His size is fine. He's a real hungry guy and he's very smart. I know he's tough. We'll get the pads on him -- that determines everything. I believe he'll come out and do a very nice job, but the movement, all the things you look for, it's there," said Bears defensive coordinator/assistant head coach Rod Marinelli.
