Despite getting the first run, the Hawks (3-1) lost their first game of the season, dropping to Tri-City (1-3), 4-3 in 10 innings.

Oliver Zapata, Varonex Cuevas and Rashad Crawford each drove in one run for the Hawks. First-round pick Kyle Schwarber went 2/5. He's now batting .563 through four games.

On the mound, starter Josh Conway went three innings, giving up four hits but no earned runs. Francisco Carrillo gets the loss for Boise.

The Hawks and Dust Devils cap their five-game series on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m.
