Redshirt senior QB Grant Hedrick is ready to lead the Broncos.

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise State has 16-straight winning seasons on the gridiron and with that comes some talented quarterbacks.

"The tradition of quarterbacks here is pretty remarkable and not a lot of schools can say they've had that many big time quarterbacks," said redshirt senior QB Grant Hedrick.  "Obviously, you try to follow in their footsteps a little bit."

Hedrick is that next signal caller to go under center when the Broncos open their season in three weeks, but he's not feeling the heat.

"I wouldn't say it is pressure," he said. "It's a natural progression in my leadership role."
Hedrick wants to show off a more efficient offense than last year's, which averaged more than 37 points a game.

"We just have to finish those drives and get some points out of it," he said. "Whether it is a field goal or a touchdown. Any points, we will take it."
The Oregon native isn't taking his foot off the pedal. Even his fellow quarterbacks are taking notice.

"Grant is dialed in," said quarterback Ryan Finley. "He's a surgeon and that is one of the things I can definitely learn from Grant."

With this being his fifth and final year in the blue and orange, Hedrick wants it to a memorable one.

"I've enjoyed my whole time here," he said. "This process has been awesome. This last year for me is about taking it all in and enjoying each moment."
