Mark Derlago wrapped the puck around and the goal in the first period, giving Idaho a 1-0 lead.
Tyler Spurgeon scored to open the third period, netting his fifth goal of the year and first since returning to Idaho this week. Derlago followed a disputed Las Vegas goal with his second score of the night, before Branden Kushniruk scored the clincher with under three minutes to go in the game.
One of the night's big highlights was a one-punch fight between Idaho's Riley Weselowski and Vegas' Alex Bourett. Weselowski's first blow took Bourett to the ice, and linesman jumped in as Weselowski attempted to pile on.
