PARK CITY, UT - Idaho natives Hailey Duke and Erik Fisher were named to the 22-member U.S. Ski and Snowboard Olympic Team on Tuesday.
Duke is a slalom expert, having burst on to the international scene the last few years after a long stint on the international tykwando circuit.
Following a series of three World Cup speed races next weekend in St. Moritz, Switzerland, women's speed will train at their European Base at Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria until Feb. 5 before arriving in Vancouver on Feb. 9, while Duke and the other tech athletes will prepare in Jackson Hole, WY.
Erik Fisher is a Middleton native who grew up racing at Bogus Basin. Fisher's enjoyed a break-out 2009 season, after sitting all of 2008 with a torn ACL.
"Fish" races downhill, and will train with team U.S.A. in Park City.
The 2010 Winter Olympic Games will be the first for both athletes.
