Catching up with former Bronco Tyler Shoemaker
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Last year's Boise State senior class is a hard act to follow. A dozen players off that team spent time in NFL camps, eight are still with teams, but not Tyler Shoemaker.

Tyler Shoemaker the record-setting Boise State wide receiver has become Tyler Shoemaker rookie realtor. He's so new, his office is still completely bare.

Shoemaker left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers largely on his own back in July, saying he just wasn't fitting in.

"At that situation, at that point in time it just wasn't my time to be there."

NFL, Canada, Arena League, even Australian Rules Football... Shoemaker welcomed any opportunity, but got tired of being in limbo. His step-mom is a local realtor, and he started a new career on Tuesday.

"When you get to that point, you just never know when your time might be called, and it wasn't my style. I didn't like that - not knowing - so I decided to grab life by the reins and just go for it," said Shoemaker.

Soon to be closing housing deals, instead of touchdown drives.

"I had fun, it was a great run, but I think I miss the people more than the game.

Shoemaker is working at Coldwell Banker's Tomlinson Group in downtown Boise.
