72 it is, Middleton's winning streak ends at State Tournament
MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - In front a extremely pro-Viking crowd at Mountain View High School, Twin Falls did something thought to be impossible. That's because no one had done it over the past 72 games ... beat the Middleton High School girls basketball team.

No Twin Falls player scored double digits, but four finished with at least seven points, including Mikayla Harris (8pts) who also added ten rebounds. As a team, the Bruins forced 18 Viking turnovers, while committing just 12 of their own

Middleton senior guard Maya Ah You scored just one point in less than ten minutes of play. She was forced to leave the game after suffering a leg injury early in the game. Celeste Pantoja tried to pick up the slack, by scoring 10 points, and playing all but 78 seconds of the contest. D'Rae Tullock led all scorers with 13 points and 12 rebounds, but was one of three Vikings to foul out of game.

Middleton's 42-36 loss means there will be a new 4A State Champion for the first time since 2009. The Vikings move into the consolation bracket, and will play Nampa High School Friday afternoon at 1:15pm.
