Plenty of Treasure Valley teams advance to the semifinals.

The Idaho State Baseball Tournament kicked off and Treasure Valley teams were ready for the first pitch.

All four 5A teams from the area advanced to the semifinals. Capital beat Coeur d'Alene, 10-8 in extra innings. Mountain View held off Highland in 11 innings, 4-3. Eagle defeated Madison, 3-1. Rocky Mountain took down Lewiston, 8-2.

In 4A, Columbia fell to Twin Falls, 9-3. Bishop Kelly beat Bonneville, 14-1. And Skyview won against Pocatello, 4-0.

One of two local squads move on in 3A. Kimberly tamed Homedale, 15-7 and Fruitland advanced past Teton, 7-3.

In 2A, Nampa Christian doubled up Malad, 6-3. New Plymouth shuts out St. Maries, 3-0. Marsing earns the victory against Wendell, 5-3.
