Allred, Karl fall flat in Stampede re-debut
BOISE - Coby Karl and Lance Allred combined for 21 points on 8-21 shooting, six turnovers and a technical foul as Idaho fell to the Reno Bighorns 110-89 Friday night in Boise.

Idaho couldn't stop Reno's presence in the paint, allowing seven-foot-one Cezany Trybanski to pour in 29 points and grab 15 rebounds in just 35 minutes off the bench.

Donell Taylor led Idaho with 19 points.

Allred, who returned to the Stampede after spending most of the fall with two teams in Italy, said he had an enlightenment of sorts while in Europe which removed the burdens of playing simply for money or to advance his pro basketball career.

Last August, Allred had said he was all but done chasing the NBA dream, citing internal politics and a low D-League salary as his primary reasons.
