Taylor could be a first round pick

Taylor could be a first round pick
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Former Boise State corner Jamar Taylor could hear his name called during the first round of the NFL draft. While the majority of mock drafts don't show Taylor coming off the board until the second round, a pair of NFL.com analysts think he's a clear first rounder.

In fact, Josh Norris has Taylor joining former teammate Shea McClellin in Chicago as the 20th overall selection. Norris writes, "It might seem early, but Taylor is a versatile corner able to play in zone or man situations."

One more spot to watch could be pick 29. Taylor's speed and physical nature fit in well with the Patriots system, and he's been picked to join the Pats in a few mock drafts.

"I mean we done heard anything from late first round, to early second, to third round or fourth round. I mean you never know with this, only god knows. Some people go to New York and it doesn't work out the way they want to, so I'm gonna watch it by myself, and after I get picked I'll go celebrate with my family. And then get back up here and start working out and get back to business," said Taylor following his pro day workout.

Business should be pretty good for the former Bronco corner no mater where he goes in the draft. The first round ... starts Thursday at 6 p.m. (MTN), second and third round follow on Friday, with the rest of the draft on Saturday.
