King's 4 goals lift Steelheads past Eagles
Tristan King's four goals helped Idaho beat Colorado 7-6 in a shootout for the Steelhead's first win of the season Wednesday night in Colorado.

King's effort tied an ECHL-era team record (Mark Derlago, 2011), coming twice in the first period and twice more in the third. King's final two goals gave Idaho a 5-4 lead, but Idaho (1-2) allowed the explosive Eagles (1-1-1) to score twice late and force overtime.

Following a scoreless overtime, Steelheads netminder Tyler Beskorowany stopped four of Colorado's five shooters giving Idaho the victory.

Idaho coach Brad Ralph led the Steelheads to the first win of the season on his 32nd birthday.

Note: Planned television coverage of road games by CableOne will not happen as hoped. A CableOne production employee told KBOI-TV the technical hurdles to obtaining the video and re-broadcasting it on AccessOne (channel 17) were much tougher than originally thought. Home Idaho Steelhead games will continue to air on CableOne's AccessOne channel 17 live (Fridays only) and on tape-delay.
