Greensburg, KS tornado has an Eye!
By Jon AaronI was looking on a message board that I post on, it is a bunch of meteorologist talking, and I found a video that I never seen before. This video is of a great professor who teaches at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Howard Bluestein. He wrote some great articles on tornados and normally presents a talk or two at Meteorological conferences. The video I found this time was him chasing the Greensburg, KS tornado with a Dual Pol radar. A Dual Pol radar is new radar technology the government is working on to replace the Doppler Radar. It might not happen for a while but because of this video, I hope it happens sooner then later. The video will be kinda boring if you are not into research but at the end there is a big surprise that I have never heard or seen before! |
