Back to our roots, with snow?

The Billingsley family just moved here from Bakersfield California. Hot! The Billingsley children have never lived near snow before. When the news announced this morning they needed snow pictures, the children worked all day to be part of the news. The Billingsley's are happy to be in Boise as they have a rich family history of Boiseans. Their Grandfather, Dr. Kenneth K. Hanford played football for Boise State back when it was only Boise Jr. College. The family has legacies of driving Boise style in model T's, homesteading at the turn of the century in Camas Prairie, and a Great Grandmother Katherine May Burns who wrote the God's of Soldier Mountain. The book is still in circulation at the Albertsons Library. The Billingsley family looks forward to many happy years being part of the community. In late December they plan on donating pictures of several 1936 Boise College football players to the Allen Noble Hall of Fame. Both Mr. and Mrs. Billingsley are expected to attend Boise State University in the spring where they will be working on Bachelor’s degrees in healthcare realted fields.
