Local Musicians Come Together to Benefit The Idaho Foodbank

(Boise, ID) December 3, 2010 – Sleigh bells are ringing and little drummers are drumming, but it’s not traditional carolers that are spreading new tidings of joy.

Fourteen Idaho musicians have released their first annual Holiday Collection, IdaHo-Ho-Ho with Moxie Java. The limited edition CD is available now at participating Moxie Java locations throughout the Treasure Valley for $10.00 with proceeds going directly to help fund the efforts of The Idaho Foodbank.

"This is such a wonderful project, so much in the spirit of the holidays," said Karen Vauk, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank. "We are very grateful to everyone who gave so generously of their time and talent to make this a reality. Every CD sold will feed one person for five days, so their efforts will mean a great deal to a lot of hungry Idaho families."

In addition to donating their time and talent to the record, eight of the artists are performing live at Moxie Java locations throughout the valley. Performances are 6-8pm each evening and are free to the public, however attendees are encouraged to bring a food donation for The Idaho Foodbank.

“It is amazing how many talented musicians we have in our community, and there is no shortage of great original Christmas songs coming out of that. This is a great CD!” said Steve Fulton, a contributing musician and owner of Audio Lab Recording Studios in Garden City where many of the songs were produced.

More than 40 Moxie Java locations are independently owned and operated throughout the Treasure Valley. Since 2006, Moxie Java air roasts its coffee at its roasterie in Garden City using selected Arabica beans to ensure there’s not a bitter bean in the bunch, and provide coffee lovers a smooth drink with no bitter after taste.
