Up the Mississipi

I found an old photo from The Idaho Statesman of sometime in around 1960, of a school stunt night done by the PTA of each School, each grade school participated for prizes, this photo was at stunt night performed at Boise High School Stage by myself Bill West, my wife Carole Waits West and our friend Pat Stockdale for ours and all the kids at Hawthorne School, we had a ball and when the week of fun and frolic was done, we had a dinner and dance for the PTA, at somebody’s large family room
The theme was musicals, our show was a soft shoe, shuffle “up the Mississippi”, we drew a large showboat for a backdrop, we did not how to tap dance, but we got the shuffle down, we got her done. We were cool, at lease we thought so, did not take first, one in audience said we looked too professional,,made us feel better.
Those days we had a lot of family fun and school boding.
