The Eagle Stamp and Postcard Club is sponsoring a free stamp and postcard show October 4 and 5 at the Eagles Lodge, 7025 Overland Road in Boise. Show hours: Saturday, 10am to 6pm and Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
Ever wonder what that box of stamps, stamp album of stamps, old envelopes, or picture postcards in the attic or closet are worth? A collection discovered in Boise recent sold for over $100,000.00. Bring what you have to the Stamp and Postcard show and find out what yours is worth for free!
Stamp collecting is the world's most popular and historical hobby. It's a fun and educational activity the entire family can enjoy. Parents and children, teachers and students, collectors and non-collectors who attend the show will see stamps from all over the world. They can also learn history through the history of town post offices eight of which no longer exists in Ada county. Hint, one is Eureka which existed from 1898 to 1899. If you have an envelope from Eureka, Idaho in fair condition it might be worth more than $100.00.
Postcard collecting provides pictures of our history. An example would be a picture postcard of the old capital building which was torn down and the current capital build replace it. See this and many others at the show. Did you realize some postcards can be worth over one hundred dollars! Do you have a postcard of White City Amusement Park in Boise, it could be worth more than $100.00.
Come to this free show and sample the pastime of a lifetime.
Eight stamp and postcard dealers from: Idaho, Texas, Washington, and Utah will be here to buy, sell and trade.
