I would love to have a house in Florida. I have a son who was taken from me against my will when he was 5 years old. He went to high school then moved to Florida where I hardly every get to see him and my beautiful grandbaby Madelyn. Sincerely lynn

Did this home go to a winner? I think this is a fabulous idea. Someone who may not be able to get a home for their family could get into a beautiful home for $100. This market and economy has left so many homeless, this is a positive for many!

The only drawback is the number of entries. "Devon" is correct and if they don't get enough $100.00 entries, to satisfy their financial needs, the essay will be called off and maybe the monies will be returned. Good luck to them.

I think this is a great Idea, think about it 100 dollars and you could win a home, even if you could not afford the taxes after you won, you could sell it, rent it and make money. the odds of winning are better than the lotto. I hope they do well.

What this really boils down to is that they have been unable to sell the home for whatever reason.Somewhere in their rules it will state there must be a certain number of entries or the contest will be called off and your money returned to you.

This is a great idea. Also the chances are better than any lottery and if you do win. YOU HAVE A FREE HOME!

Because in the state of Florida it is illegal to sell your home in a "lottery". So the homeowners have to sell it in an essay contest. This is legal in Florida and I wish them luck with this.

I doubt this too. Why bother with the essay if you also pay $100? why not just say hey here is a lottery and the price per ticket is $100? Stuff like this just sounds too iffy.

How do we know that this isn't just a way for these people to cash in on the $100.00 per entry - and the house never goes..?
