Wes Morris, 13, went all the way to the final round of the 12 year old age group in his junior dragster at the NHRA Western Conference Finals, held in Denver Colorado, Morris lost by six thousandths of a second in the final but came home with a $2500.00 savings bond and a trophy for his efforts, Morris was the highest place finisher from the Northwestern United States at the event that had over 400 entries from the entire Western Half of the US. Morris races locally at Firebird Raceway and attends Hillside Junior High school
