truth, the nation's largest youth smoking prevention tour was in Boise this month to engage teens and educate them on the health and social consequences of tobacco use.
As part of a month-long initiative, the truth® tour will make more than 20 stops across 7 states this October, including visiting some communities for the first time ever. At each stop, the truth® crew members will:
- Create a fun and engaging atmosphere, allowing truth® crew members to discuss tobacco issues in a non-preachy way.
- Host fashion shows, dance contests, freestyle rap “battles”, and play educational games.
- Distribute truth® -branded gift items/”gear”, including: shorts, drawstring bags and long sleeve t-shirts. All of the items were created using images and designs cool enough for teens to wear, yet the gear still incorporates important messages about tobacco use and the tobacco industry.
