The Treasure Valley's historic Harrison Blvd. is preparing for its amazing annual display of creativity and spookiness... delighting children and parents alike as they make their walk down one of the most beautiful streets in the City of Trees this up coming Halloween night. While some homes are still in preparation mode, many are done, providing an early peek at the wonderful creative displays, made especially for the children, as they eagerly look forward to coming home with a triumphant display of candy, candy, candy!!!
Parents... please remember to accompany your children or arrange for an adult to walk with them where ever you may go trick-or-treating. As the days become shorter, darkness falls quickly, so safety is the first priority! Be sure your children have bright colored costumes if possible, and walk with flashlights/reflective tape/glowsticks, etc., bringing attention to drivers, and to look both ways before crossing streets as they make their journey through the neighborhoods. Check the weather predictions at 2news.tv/weather for anticipated temperatures and dress accordingly to hopefully prevent a very cold child. Of course, discuss with your children the important reason all candy will need to be inspected by you before they can begin to enjoy it, as unfortunately, there may be an unkind individual who may hand out candy that could make them sick. Hopefully, where ever you may roam, it's a night full of fun, laughter, memories AND a good brushing of the teeth before bedtime!
