A water main broke near the intersection of Mitchell and Rifleman around 5:00 p.m. The break uplifted the street in two areas and closed off Mitchell between Emerald and Iriving streets.
While the damage interupted traffic, local children enjoyed the cooling effects of the water on a warm summer afternoon.
