NAMPA, ID – July 2012 -- The makers of Snake River Stampede Whiskey are returning to the site of the brand’s namesake to help celebrate the 97th Snake River Stampede Rodeo. Snake River Stampede Whiskey rider Clint Cannon will be competing in the event again this year and the company will also be honoring our military – presenting Patriot Night at the Rodeo Thursday July 19th.
Boasting a $400,000 payoff, the Snake River Stampede is one of the top 10 regular season professional rodeos in the nation. In 2009, it was ranked eighth in the world. It has evolved from a small, local bucking horse competition in the early 1900′s to a major professional sports event.
Clint Cannon is a reserve world champion bareback rider with The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. He was the 2003 Bareback Riding Rookie of the Year, and in 2009, competed in 97 rodeos with more than 200 rides without being bucked off his ride. Cannon was among the subjects of the 2007 French documentary film, Ballade Pour Un Cowboy (Ballad of a Cowboy), and is the central figure in a 2010 documentary by French filmmakers Cedric Deloche and Frederic Laffont.
After Snake River Stampede Canadian Whisky is aged 8 years, sherry is then added to the whisky. This process enhances the taste of Snake River Stampede Whisky and differentiates it from the competition.
Founded in 2004 by John Ufford, Indio Spirits is a distillery located in Portland, Oregon. In 2005, Robert G. Turner, an established spirits industry veteran joined the company as President and partner. That same year the company introduced our Indio Silver, Marionberry and Lemongrass-Lime vodkas. In 2006, Indio Spirits – in association with the Snake River Stampede Rodeo introduced Snake River Stampede 8-year-old Canadian whisky. During that time period, we also added to our flavored vodka products by introducing Blood Orange as well as Cricket Club Gin.

These two photographs were taken of a Boing 727 parked on a small tarmac south of Gowan road! The first picture labeled DSC01310.jpg is one taken from the entrance to the Outlet Mall on Eisenman Road looking west and the 2nd picture was taken from Production road looking south across Gowan road.
Maybe you can find out how the plane got there. There is no runway visable from up the Eisenmen Road near I-84 or from Pleasant Valley road.
