Kayna Whitworth
By Jerry ManterKayna joins us from KTVZ in beautiful Bend, Oregon. She is no stranger to the early morning hours of a sunrise show having done the morning show for two years in Bend. She was first hired as a sports anchor and after winning the "Oregon Wrestling Media Person of the Year" award she was offered a chance to try her hand in morning news and jumped at it. While she loves being a part of the news department, sports will always hold a place in her heart. Her father is a high school football coach and she grew up on the sidelines. (Glenwood Demons 2008 state champs). Her mother is a marathon runner and hopefully someday Kayna will be able to keep up. For now she has a triathlon and half marathon under her belt. Trail running and snowshoeing are two of Kayna's favorites things, so Boise is a perfect place for her. Kayna is a graduate of Colorado State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in speech communication with a concentration in rhetorical studies. She played on the women’s lacrosse team for the CSU Rams. She is proud to be a part of the team at CBS 2. Most Popular |
