Police want to talk to man who acted 'odd' inside Boise Bench bank

Police say a man walked into a Boise Bench bank last week and acted weird.

And now they want to talk to him.

Authorities say on Wednesday, Jan 27, at about 9:34 a.m., a man walked into a bank on Vista Avenue just north of Kootenai Street wearing sunglasses, a dark hoodie, and had gauze taped to his chin. A bank employee asked the man to remove his sunglasses.

Employees report the man took off the sunglasses, appeared to be nervous, then left the bank without seeking any services. Boise Police would like to identify the man and follow up on the report by asking him some questions.

The man is described as about 6 feet tall, heavy build, around 265 lbs., estimated to be between 45 and 50 years old, grey hair with a receding hairline, he may have chin hair or a goatee. At the time, he was wearing a dark hoodie, dark sunglasses, may have been wearing brown gloves, and had gauze with medical tape covering his chin and lower lip.

Anyone with any information on who the man may be is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
