Authorities say they've arrested a 19-year-old Oregon woman on drug charges after she was reportedly seen laying in the street.
Police responded to Fairview and Curtis at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a woman, Derryberry standing on the sidewalk at the intersection next to a bicycle and holding a shoulder bag.
Officers requested paramedics take the woman, Rachel Derryberry, to a nearby hospital to check for any possible injuries.
At the hospital, officers began to look inside the bag searching to identify the woman. Inside the bag officers say they found syringes, pipes and a plastic baggie with two grams of meth.
As officers began to question the woman about the contents of the bag police say she ran out of the hospital.
Officers caught up to her in the parking lot, where she continued to struggle in an attempt to run away. Once medically cleared, Derryberry was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
She also received a misdemeanor charge of arristing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
