Former Boise State Broncos and second-year NFL defensive tackles Shea McClellin and Tyron Crawford share a laugh during the Gridiron Dreams Football Academy at Warrior Stadium in Meridian, Idaho.
MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - Shea McClellin and a handful of former Broncos who now play pigskin in the NFL invaded the Treasure Valley this weekend for the 5th annual Gridiron Dreams Football Academy. And when the pride of Marsing's back in town, you've gotta get an update.

McClellin had an up and down rookie season with the Chicago Bears, and sitting behind Pro Bowler Julius Peppers on the depth chart, it was hard to get much playing time. But the toughest part of his first NFL season was not having a break between the end of his college career and beginning of life as a pro.

"That whole experience was definitely grueling. Just starting off right after the season and you go into training, combine, and visits. All that kind of thing, and then you finally start, and you feel like two years have already gone by, you know. But it was good and the season was alright. I had a few injuries in there, which is troubling, but I've just gotta work on getting better this year. Staying injury free would be good," said McClellin.

Bronco Nation, and the town of Marsing agree with that plan.
