Police: Meridian man knowingly gave HIV to at least two victims
MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - A Meridian man has been arrested and charged with knowingly transferring the HIV virus to two people.

Craig Hinckley, 37, was arrested Sunday morning after police said a second victim came forward.

Investigators said Hinckley met his first victim online back in march and his second victim on May 25th at a party.

Police did not identify either victim as a male or female but said one was 19 and the other was 20.

They also said that in both cases, Hinckley did not reveal he was infected with AIDS or HIV until after he had sex with the victims.

Under Idaho state law, he could face up to 15 years in prison plus a $5,000 fine per charge if convicted.

Detectives believe there could be more victims and are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Meridian Police Department at 888-6678.
