BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - ACHD has delayed a roundabout project after the City of Boise requested it. Commissioners said they were frustrated because the project was just about to go out for bid.

Boise asked for the delay until the master plan for Fort Boise and St. Luke's Hospital, because it's unknown what their future construction plans could be the city didn't want a roundabout that might have to be changed later.

Commissioner Rebecca Arnold granted the request, but also voiced her frustration over the short notice.

"We went forward. We've now spent about 65 thousand dollars, and now the city is saying 'oh wait, now never mind we don't want this right now'," said Arnold. "Maybe we will want it someday."

The city said this project was going faster than expected, and while they like the rest of the downtown plans they only want to hold this one project for now.

It's still unclear how long it will take for the master plans for St. Luke's and Fort Boise to be finished.
