Woman charged with involuntary manslaughter after crash

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) A 33-year-old Meridian woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after she drove through a stop sign and killed a motorcyclist, the Ada County Sheriff's Office says.

Andrea Dearden, Ada Sheriff spokesperson says, 50-year-old Aaron Green of Kuna died after 33-year-old Ji Park drove through the four-way stop July 21.

The intersection where the crash happened is a four-way stop marked by stop signs in all directions. Ada County Sheriff's crash reconstructionists determined Park failed to obey the sign and drove into the intersection where she collided with Green's 2005 Harley Davidson.

Park turned herself into authorities Thursday morning. Park faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
