Police: Man arrested after Boise bank robbery

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Police say they have arrested the man who robbed a Boise bank Wednesday afternoon.

Boise Police say Daniel Fisher, 42, of Boise, robbed a bank on the 5100 block of West Franklin Road just after 1:30 p.m.

Surveillance photos of the robber showed him wearing a dark business suit.  He was then seen on a bicycle riding west on Franklin.

Police say after the photos were released they received a tip that the suspect was at a motel near the Boise Airport.

Officers responded and took Fisher into custody around 8:30 p.m.

"Getting the suspect identified so quickly was key in locating him and making this arrest," said Sgt. Mark Barnett of the Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit in a press release. "From the bank and store employees, to the officers involved and citizens sharing the information, a lot of people and some fast work went into finding the suspect."

Fisher was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with robbery.
