Two-alarm fire burns business, sends firefighter to hospital

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) – A two-alarm fire ignited at the American Linen Store near Federal Way early Thursday morning. The Boise Fire Department tells KBOI2 News an automated fire alarm alerted firefighters there was a problem at the business on Braniff Street.  

Ada County dispatchers say the call came in at about 2am. When fire crews arrived they did not see anything visible from the outside of the building. After crews started to investigate the source of the alarm, they found the building full of smoke. (Photos From the Scene)

The fire was contained to the back of the warehouse near an industrial dryer, but a lot of smoke inside the building.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital and treated for a knee injury. A battalion chief tells KBOI the firefighter stepped off a loading dock while fighting the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
