BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Police have released two surveillance photos from an ATM theft earlier this week.
Police are trying to figure out who stole an ATM from a local carwash early Tuesday morning and an attempted theft at the Idaho Central Credit Union on west Fairview.
Although the person who jacked the ATM is wearing a mask, police ask folks to take a look at the man's clothing, which would possibly help identify the suspect.
The individual who snagged the car wash ATM won't be getting very much cash. The man who operates and maintains Like Nu's ATM says there likely was only about $30 inside the machine.
The ATM expert says it's nearly impossible to even get the money out. He says to do so, someone would have to use a cutting torch, which would likely burn up the money inside before one could even get to it.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call 343-COPS.
