Children living in home with chickens, chainsaw, sheriff says

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A Boise couple has been arrested after officials say they had their two children living with chickens, a chain saw and human waste.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says Sandie Strickland, 42, and Anthony Strickland, 41, have been booked on felony injury to a child.

Deputies say they found that the kids (10 and 12 years of age) were exposed to animal and human feces  and urine inside the home on a daily basis - finding feces on the bathroom tub, walls, sink, and carpet and in the kid's bedrooms.

The couple has posted bond. They face up to 10 years in prison.
