Paying to park in downtown Boise meters could cost more

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The city of Boise is moving forward on a plan that could change parking in downtown Boise.

Business owners in the downtown area argue that changes will be good for business, but the proposal will definitely have you scrambling for more change. City staffers suggest increasing the amount of money you pay to hang out in downtown Boise.

The first hour would cost you $1.50 and the second hour would jump to $3.

Staffers also want to launch a pilot program that would change the hours in which drivers would be ticketed. The city would hand out tickets from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The proposed trial period would last anywhere from six months to a year.
