BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A Boise man is being held in an Iranian prison without being charged while visiting family, according to a report from Fox News.
The Rev. Saeed Abedini was taken by the Iranian government in July while traveling on a bus to catch a flight back to the U.S., according to the report.
After being placed on house arrest, the report says that on September 26, five men kicked down the door at his parents' house in Tehran and arrested.
Abedini is a Christian convert and has dual citizenship with Iran and the U.S.
He is a member of the Calvary Chapel Boise at Cole and Franklin Road, but regularly travels to Iran, where he is a pastor.
According to the report, he is the father of a house church movement in Iran that help Christians practice in underground places of worship.
He was working on building an orphanage in Iran.
A Facebook page has been created to support Abedini while he is being held.
