Prosecutor: Woman rolled man's body in comforter after shooting

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) - Ada County Prosecutors say a 21-year-old woman shot a man from behind, rolled his body into a bedding comforter and eventually hid the body under the house.
The grusome allegations were presented in Jordan Marie Shaver's first court appearance Monday. She's been charged with the first degree murder of 49-year-old Brian Barton Geddes.
Officials say Geddes was last seen alive Oct. 16.
Police were investigating a lead in Geddes' disappearance that led them to a house in the 5100 block of Elaynea Lane Friday afternoon in Garden City. Officers arrived to find that the resident, Jordan Marie Shaver, 21, had fled the house just minutes before their arrival.
Police searched the area and found Shaver nearly an hour later near the Walmart near by Glenwood and State Street. She was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant for failure to appear, police said.
Prosecutors also said in court that Shaver stole money from Geddes and purchased items for nearly two weeks. She also apparently talked to the victim's family to help cover up the alleged crime and disappearance.
Police were able to find her as she was using the victim's cell phone, prosecutors said.
A judge denied Shaver's bond and ordered her back in court for a preliminary hearing Nov. 19.
I have known Brian Geddes for about 1 1/2 years. He was such a kind and gentle soul who loved life and lived it to the fullest; enjoying even the tiniest Blessings that were brought into his life. His Faith was undeniable and I know that he is with our Father in Heaven. Shockingly, I came face to face with his killer 11 days after he was last seen and had no idea what had happened or even that he was missing. I can't believe that someone thinks money and material things are more important than someone's life! I know that she will get punished here; but she will also have to face her Creator in the end....that is when real justice will be served!! Brian, you were so sweet, funny, caring and such a wonderful person and friend. I know Barty misses you, as do all of those whose lives you have touched. May your soul find everlasting peace, happiness and love with our loving Heavenly Father. RIP dear friend!
There was never a finer person than Brian Geddes. He was a gentleman. He was kind to a fault. He was funny. He always had a genuine smile. He alway had a kind word. He always had a scripture. He always had a hug.  I'm still in shock and I still cry. Brian is sorely missed always and all ways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzzqhaLl_8w Your friend and fellow prayer warrior, Becky
Oh mercy. I hate it when stuff like this happens. I hope she's really proud of herself. To the other posters who were friends with Mr. Geddes, I know all too well what it's like to lose a good friend and I'm truly sorry for your pain and grief.
What to say that has not already been said. I was truly shocked at the news from his next door neighbor , when I went to visit Brian unkowing of his demize. I have known Brain for several years, his christian faith, his loyalty to his family even when they disappionted him, his gracious giving to those in need and his outlook on life. I met the young lady once a month ago and warned him that she was trouble, but then he said just trying to help her out. I will miss my friend deeply and I will pray for his family that he so deeply loved. Go rest high on that mountain Brian, your work here on earth is done. Go to heaven a shouting before the father and his son! May the angels hear your sweet voice singing and may you smile down on us from heaven. God Bless you Brian, you will not be forgotten!
Hi TJ. Sounds like you knew him well. We're both grieving. I'll be in all her court appearances. Bet on that.
Brian was truly an amazing person and it shocked me to find out someone would do this to somebody who always helped everyone he could no matter what the cost. I really hope you pay for what you did to such a amazing person. He was always smiling always happy no matter what and now we will all miss a truly amazing person because you are so cruel and selfish.
Hi Anon. Sounds like you knew him pretty well too. All his friends are grieving him. I would have not thought in a million years this would happen. He was wonderful.
